As a key member of the People & OD Directorate team the post holder will have responsibility for the delivery of a comprehensive culture & OD programmes. They will continue to oversee, refine & deliver on our Leadership Development Pathway as well as begin to build a Cultural Programme of works based around the outputs from the Trust’s first Cultural Audit alongside the staff survey results as we push forward with our Restorative Just & Learning Culture plans.

Like many organisations we have existing programmes of work in place but we are also working to embed & towards a number of other key priorities:
- Ongoing development of our highly rated comprehensive Leadership Development Pathway including work with the Kings Fund & NHS Elect
- Working with Staff Survey results & our recent culture audit with our colleagues to develop our culture
- Developing our plans around staff experience including establishment of a Staff Experience Reference Group
- Restorative Just & Learning Culture and workplace civility
- Developing an excellent Welcome and onboarding experience
- Introduction of a coaching & mentoring network
- Supporting Team development & team coaching

Reporting into the Associate Director of OD and Culture, the Head of Leadership and Culture will work collaboratively with the People Leadership Team to ensure the service we offer to the organisation and our colleagues is integrated, right first time and able to deliver the best possible outcomes.

The post holder will lead the delivery of a high-profile, proactive & professional OD service for the Trust. The aim of the OD service is to improve organisational performance through developing the workforce & organisational culture. This is achieved via a programme of activity that includes leadership development, talent management, coaching & mentoring, staff engagement, change management and behavioural change interventions.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the team provides a proactive service to the organisation ensuring that its work aligns with the Trust’s overarching strategy and the People Strategy. They will also ensure that organisational development & design best practice principles are embedded into divisions and interventions as they work collaboratively with the operational people teams.

- The Head of Leadership and Culture will be a visible, inclusive and collaborative leader, ensuring delivery of the Trust’s vision to provide the highest possible standards of compassionate care; the very best patient and colleague experience; and to listen to and involve patients, employees and carers
- The post holder will provide expert, highly specialised organisational development advice and guidance underpinned by a comprehensive knowledge of organisational psychology, behavioural sciences or similar training or experience
