As an experienced Surgical First Assistant, you’ve probably become used to sacrificing evenings, Sundays and Bank holidays for the job you love. **What you'll be doing**:
You’ll be a vital part of a professional, friendly and compassionate team supported by our experienced Theatre Manager, Trevor. Our focus at all times is on ensuring that our patients receive high quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings, and you’ll do everything you can to ensure the patient’s treatment is of the highest standard**.**

- Work 37.5 hours over 4 days

**What we’ll look for in you**:
A Registered NMC Nurse with experience of being a scrub practitioner in a theatre, or an HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner, with:

- Surgical First Assistant qualification
- Proven experience of working in a theatre as a scrub practitioner
- Knowledge and experience of working with an orthopaedic team will be key in this role
- Up to date with current research and developments in theatre practise, along with
- Sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department
- This bonus is offered to those who commence substantive employment in the role of Surgical First Assist at Ilford.

The bonus is paid in two parts, the first part of the bonus is paid after the first month of employment and the second part after 6 months of employment conditional on successful completion of a probation period. The total bonus is pro-rata for part time joiners.
