Band 3- Cardiac Physiology Support Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cardiology Department in West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, based at Watford General Hospital. We are looking for a part-time Cardiac Physiology Support Coordinator to work within the Cardiac Devices Clinic.
We are looking for a forward thinking, highly motivated, enthusiastic individual, who will be compassionate and proactive.
The post holder will work closely with the full-time Cardiac Physiology Support Coordinator to maintain efficient administrative systems to contribute to the smooth running of the Cardiac Devices Clinic.
The post holder will primarily be responsible for administrative duties associated with the busy and growing remote monitoring service provided by the Cardiac Devices Clinic.

This role is 18.75 hours per week. We are committed to supporting flexible working patterns, wherever possible.
The post holder will primarily be responsible for administrative duties associated with the remote monitoring service provided to patients with implantable cardiac devices. There will also be an expectation that the post holder supports the full-time Cardiac Physiology Support Coordinator with other administrative duties and covers the core duties during periods of leave.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. The post holder will be expected to deal with telephone enquiries from clinicians and patients and in a courteous and professional manner.
The post holder will be required to provide non-clinical advice to patients, such as information or guidance on care pathways. They will need to work unsupervised and use initiative and judgement when dealing with enquiries and analysing and resolving issues.
Good computer literacy skills are essential. The role will involve daily use and management of multiple data management systems and databases. The post will involve booking appointments on the Trust electronic systems for over 4000 patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices.

Navigate the various remote monitoring systems to confirm whether patient transmissions.
Monitor the connection status of patients’ remote monitors.
Perform basic connectivity troubleshooting for remote monitors and direct patients to the appropriate support helpline, if needed.
Book cardiac device follow-up appointments and arrange investigations.
Deal with telephone enquiries from healthcare professionals and patients in a courteous and professional manner and to ensure that appropriate messages are passed onto the relevant staff in a timely fashion.
Provide general non-clinical advice to patients.
Maintain efficient administrative systems within the office environment to contribute to smooth running of the service.
Maintain multiple information systems and databases.
