**Salary: £27,789 - £29,874**

**Location: Clough Road., Hull**

**Hours: 33.5 hours per week (Part-Time) Office Based**

**Contract: Permanent**

**We are currently advertising for succession planning for future vacancies.**

As a MOSOVO PVP Coordinator the post holder will work within the PVP unit to support the team in reducing the risk to vulnerable children and adults, to reduce the risk posed by perpetrators of abuse.

It is important that the post holder has previously worked in a highly confidential department and is able to use initiative, judgement and knowledge to weigh up situations and identify the best options within timescales required.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conducts registration, periodic monitoring, and management of sexual and violent offenders in the community in compliance with relevant legislation and prescribed methods of assessment to ensure the effective management of the risk such offenders pose. This includes direct contact with offenders and visits to them in their homes and thus necessitates the post-holder being physically able to complete Officer Safety Training.
- Completes joint visits, joint interviews and risk assessments as required with Probation Officers, Social Workers and Mental Health workers where the offenders are of particular concern. After these visits to be responsible for deciding on any further course of action which needs to be completed to stop the person re offending.
- Attends Multi Agency Public Protection panel (MAPPA) meetings representing the police and to be part of the Multi agency decision-making on the management of offenders. Attends Child Protection Conferences (CPC) representing the police and be part of the Multi agency decision making in relation to the safety of any children at risk.
- Prepares effective risk management plans relevant to the offender being managed.

- Able to respond to changing circumstances in a positive manner often on a time critical basis.
- Can speak clearly in a way those listening can understand and is able to communicate with adults, children and young people of all ages.
- Computer literacy/keyboard skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision when required.
- Carries out tasks in an accurate and methodical manner with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Ability to travel across the Force.
