Flourish Education are recruiting for a Reception Teaching Assistant to work full time from December up until July 2024 in a Catholic school in the Dudley area. The ideal teaching assistant would act as a general support TA, providing 1:1 support when needed and small groups phonics intervention.
The working hours are Monday
- Friday, 8:30-3:30. By working full time, you would be able to form a consistent and regular routine, which provides stability with income and allows you to become part of the staff team.- A relevant teaching assistant qualification (Level 2 or above).
- At least 6 months of experience in schools
- Knowledge of schemes is desirable but not a necessity such as or Read Write Inc or White Rose.
- Good communication, working effectively as part of a team.
- DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months.
- Minimum of 2 excellent references required.
- Responsibilities for the Teaching assistant role:
- Potentially conducting phonics intervention
- Ensure the safety of the children in the class.
- Contribute to a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment.
- Work closely with the class teacher
- Potentially conduct small group work when needed.
- Potentially work 1:1 with pupils
