What we need...

GROUND began last year as a coffee bar in a beautiful park in Cuckfield village. Sorrounded by fields, there is a hidden sanctuary of a gorgeous children's play area which between May and September has a splash pool and is a beautiful oasis in the Sussex countryside.

We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate baristas or bartender to join our team and help us in providing exceptional drinks and customer care in the Cuckfield Kiosk.

It would suit someone who has worked a busy bar / coffee bar as during the hot summer days it can get very busy and speed is needed. Due to the space we have - this role is for someone that doesn't mind working alone - ideally someone who can have ideas for fresh new drinks / Smoothies - the kiosk is open May > September and we are looking for someone to really love it and make it their own. The opportunity will be there to transfer to the Haywards Heath site in the winter.

**Job Description**:
As a Barista at GROUND, you will play a crucial role in creating a memorable experience for our customers. You'll be responsible for preparing and serving the best quality drinks serving and preparing counter service food, as well as

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Coffee Preparation / smoothie / milkshakes : Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages to the highest standard.
- Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of coffee quality, ensuring that each cup is consistent and exceptional.
- Guest Care: Greet customers, taking orders, and providing recommendations when needed. Ensure that customers receive prompt and accurate service.
- Cleanliness: Keep the coffee shop and workstations clean and organised.
- Cash Handling: Handle cash and payments accurately, ensuring the cash register is balanced at the end of each shift.
- Stock Management: Monitor and restock supplies to ensure smooth operations.
- Community Engagement: Engage with customers, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where people feel comfortable and valued. Encourage repeat business through excellent service and personal connections.
- Flexible Schedule: Work flexible hours that accommodate school schedules if needed / no evenings

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a barista or bartender is essential
- Passion for coffee and a desire to learn and grow in this world.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistently high-quality coffee.
- Willingness to be a team player and contribute to the overall success of the coffee shop.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £10.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
