This is an exciting opportunity to join the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Department as a Mental Health Practitioner. You will have a key role in supporting the psychological wellbeing of our staff, aiming for early identification and management of reduced mental health and emotional wellbeing to both reduce sickness absence and and improve individual and organisational health and wellbeing outcomes.

The post-holder will have day to day responsibility for a designated case load and will be expected to provide employees within this group with a comprehensive and confidential OH Service, whilst working within his/her level of competency.

The post holder will be supported to work at an appropriate level to deliver specialist wellbeing support to managers, supervisors and staff.

The role will contribute to the development and delivery of our OH & Wellbeing Strategy and will lead on specific initiatives working in partnership with our staff psychologist and counselling team.

The post holder will act as a first line of support to all staff/volunteers across the various business activities supporting wellbeing queries, providing counselling, coping skills, and practical advice around mental health conditions.

The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Occupational Health work and wellbeing service and utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the service.
