**The Mental Health Social Care service is recruiting**
**for an exciting new post**

North Yorkshire Council's well established Mental
Health service meets the diverse needs of one of the largest, most scenic counties in the UK. Working alongside our Health and VCS partners,
multidisciplinary teams of social care workers, assess and support a wide range
of adults with mental health needs to live independent and fulfilling
lives. You will work alongside Team Managers in supporting their Social Workers to manage caseloads effectively, complete strengths-based, creative assessments, and in managing the complexity and risk that can arise. You will be a named support, coach, and mentor to less experienced colleagues in local teams. You will champion best practice across the localities, sharing and developing resources. You will use a range of quality assurance tools, which consider practice, risk, and complexity. You will also support the ASYE programme for Social Workers new to the role. There will also be opportunities for you to carry out some complex casework and support Team Managers with safeguarding coordination. This is a new role that aims to support an improved route of progression for professionally qualified colleagues in our adult social care service and can lead to greater opportunities for those wishing to advance into further leadership roles.
