**Role Overview**

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a genuine passion for people and would like to join a successful, global company, based at our Head Office in Christchurch, Dorset.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-past environment, is forward-thinking, personable and who has the drive to develop, as they will be involved in all aspects of Recruitment and HR across the UK, with exposure to the SA & Asia teams.

You will be fundamental to the People & Culture department in all aspects of People to ensure we deliver a culture and office environment that represents Solent and our values. This is a varied role where you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge in all areas of HR, Recruitment and Office management to effectively support the business.

**Recruitment**
- Providing a proactive and effective resourcing solution to the Group and take ownership for the recruitment cycle from vacancy briefing to on-boarding
- Assisting with the onboarding of new starters, from generating Contracts of Employment, coordination of equipment and assisting with inductions
- Conduct briefings with hiring managers and key collaborators to fully understand recruitment needs and develop an impactful recruitment strategy
- Provide recruitment metrics on a monthly basis
- Supporting the co-ordination of the PSL and other external recruitment partners
- Maintaining HR and Recruitment documentation, including new starter and leaver documentation, employee benefits, probations, work anniversaries, etc

**HR**
- You will own the employee lifecycle from recruiting to probation to ensure we onboard and develop our teams successfully
- Actively work with Managers in the business to understand the roles and skills needed of the business
- Working with the Solent Social Committee with Social events including our annual summer and winter parties
- Supporting the training initiatives and liaising with external stakeholders
- Culture initiatives - assist in coordinating Global Culture initiatives
- Administration, general tasks and on-going projects to support the People & Culture department and Solent Head Office function

**Requirements**:

- Very personable, enjoys working with different personalities
- Previous experience in recruitment is essential
- A passion for making people happy
- Confident in communicating and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating credibility and proactivity
- Strong attention to detail and a talent for organisation
- A professional and positive approach, understanding the importance of discretion and confidentiality
- Strong time management and a proactive work ethic
- A passion for self-development and business improvement
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure
- Great communicator and can easily build rapport
- Drive and lots of energy
- Proficient with HR systems and databases, as well as the Microsoft product suite
