Job Title: Senior Early Years Practitioner

Reports to: Early Years Manager

Purpose of Role: To provide high-quality care and education to children in a safe and stimulating environment. To lead and supervise a team of practitioners and to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver a curriculum that meets the needs of all children, taking into account their individual needs, interests and abilities
- Lead, supervise and support a team of practitioners to deliver high-quality care and education
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, including the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and Ofsted requirements
- Observe, assess and record children's progress and use this information to plan for their next steps in learning
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and involving them in their child's learning
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and administrative systems
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, staff training and development opportunities

Qualifications and Experience:

- Level 5 or above qualification in Early Years or Childcare
- Experience of working in an early years setting,
- Experience of planning and delivering a curriculum that meets the needs of all children
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience of working with families from diverse backgrounds
- First Aid and Safeguarding training
