**Job Summary**:
The Credit Controller will be responsible for managing and monitoring outstanding customer accounts, ensuring timely payment collection, resolving payment discrepancies, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. The role involves collaborating closely with the finance team, sales team, and customers to ensure smooth financial operations and effective credit management.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Cash Management**:

- Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers using financial data and credit reports.
- Set appropriate credit limits and terms for customers based on risk assessment.
- Monitor credit limits and take proactive actions to minimize potential credit risks.
- Make recommendations for credit terms adjustments and limit changes as needed.

**Invoice and Statement Management**:

- Generate and send accurate invoices to customers on time.
- Ensure invoices contain relevant information and adhere to legal and company standards.
- Regularly review customer accounts, sending statements and reminders to ensure timely payments.

**Payment Collection**:

- Escalate unresolved payment issues to relevant departments and management when necessary.

**Discrepancy Resolution**:

- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales and customer service, to address customer concerns and inquiries.
- Maintain clear and detailed records of all communications and actions taken.

**Relationship Management**:

- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to facilitate smoother payment processes.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Liaise with sales and customer service teams to ensure alignment in customer interactions.

**Reporting and Analysis**:

- Prepare and present regular reports on credit status, payment collection, and account aging.
- Collaborate with finance team to create strategies for reducing outstanding debts and improving cash flow.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- At least 2 years proven experience in credit control or related finance roles
- Strong understanding of credit management principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong Excel skills
- Proficiency in using financial software and tools for tracking and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
