**Salary**: Grade 5 £35,583 - £39,389 per annum including London Weighting.

(The full time equivalent salary for grade 5 is £21,350 - £23,634 per annum including London Weighting)

Our students are at the heart of everything that we do at Central, and independent research says they’re satisfied with their student experience. Central’s Student Centreis the home of our support services and the location of this role. This includes the Student Advice Service, Neuro-Inclusion and Disability Service, the Counselling Service and Student Funding.

Central is a distinctively energetic learning environment, where the practical intensity of conservatoire training and the innova tion and enquiry of a university meet.

The collaborative nature of the work means that we have rigorous codes of behaviour, insist on punctual attendance and timely delivery of work. The amount of time students spend on-site may be greater than in many universities. This can be thrilling but for some, at times, this can be emotionally and physically challenging - our diverse team of expert wellbeing and disability staff provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space, in which students (and their related teaching staff) can discuss any issue that may be affecting their ability to study so that they are able to remain on track for success.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, professional to this new role to provide; initial assessment, practical assistance, signposting and advice to students and staff in relation to students who are experiencing barriers to learning (including, most commonly; mental health illness).

This post will be attractive to those with a substantial background in Mental Health and seeking an exciting opportunity to make real impact in a small, professional and dedicated team within a world leading learning environment.

The post holder will be required to manage a busy caseload of students, responding to students causing significant concern. You must be confident in managing students at immediate risk of academic failure, course withdrawal, self
- harm and/or suicidal behaviour, whilst also being able to support other members of staff and be experienced enough to contribute to the School’s Health, Wellbeing and Support for Study Proceduremeetings when required.

It is anticipated that interviews and assessments will take place on **18 April 2023.**
