Our client is Local Authority in South London and they require an Interim Head of Facilities Management.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Property You will be responsible for leading the Council’s Facilities Management service to ensure that the Council’s property is well managed, maintained and achieves value for money, through:

- An effective planned maintenance programme.
- Contract and performance management of a multidisciplinary supply chain for the delivery of planned preventative maintenance, statutory compliance testing and reactive maintenance.
- Health and safety compliance management for the estate.
- Strategic oversight of corporate facilities site and support services.

Our client needs someone with experience of working in a similar role for a UK local authority who can hit the ground running an make an impact from day one. You will need to be a confident leader with the ability to operate at a senior managerial level. It is important you are a good decision maker and you can influence others. You will have responsibility for overseeing a wide range of stakeholder relationships and you will need to be able of prioritising and guiding work streams; you will need a good appreciation of operating within a political environment and having to deal with scrutiny from outside sources.

Our client is offering a rate of £500day Umbrella and this role is inside IR35. This will be offered as a 3- 4 month contract.
