**SEN PASSENGER ASSISTANT**

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Passenger Assistants for our Home to School Transport service

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and adults during transportation to and from their school, college or day centres on a daily basis.
- Assist students with special needs, including those with physical disabilities, cognitive impairments, or behavioural challenges.
- Help students board and disembark from the vehicle safely, providing physical support as necessary.
- Secure students' seat belts, harnesses, or other safety equipment before departure.
- Maintain a calm and supportive environment within the vehicle, promoting positive interactions among students.
- Observe and monitor students' behaviour and report any issues promptly and appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and any relevant information, and communicate with the office.
- Foster open communication with parents or guardians, providing updates on the students' well-being and any noteworthy events during transportation.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to be first aid trained and potentially specialist medically trained (L3), if required.
- Be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings and afternoons.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Pass an enhanced criminal record check (DBS).

**Job Type**: Part-time
