We are looking for a energetic and creative practitioner to actively engage adults across Nottinghamshire from a range of community venues, encouraging and supporting them to participate in relevant Multiply learning opportunities, providing the first intervention in supporting them to develop their maths skills.

**Job Purpose**

To actively engage adults across Nottinghamshire from a range of community venues, encouraging and supporting them to develop their maths skills as part of the ‘Multiply’ programme.

To signpost adults across Nottinghamshire to relevant Multiply learning opportunities and provide the first intervention in supporting them to develop their maths skills.

Multiply is the Government’s strategy to improve mathematical attainment across the country.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To be a Multiply ‘Champion’ across the county, actively promoting various maths and numeracy related courses that meet the needs of groups and individual learners
- Attend various community venues across the county, promoting the Multiply offer, enrolling new learners and identifying next steps through the use of initial assessment and discussion
- Liaise with a wide range of external partners to gain learner referrals including parents, ex-offenders, those leaving care, employed and unemployed participants
- Liaise with internal teams to plan Multiply interventions and signpost learners appropriately to formal and informal learning opportunities across the county
- Provide learners with appropriate information, advice and guidance to enable successful development of their maths skills and further progression
- To undertake appropriate administrative work associated with all the organisation’s operations
- To take ownership of personal and professional development in line with the ETF Professional Standards for Teaching
- To ensure that all safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to and organisational guidelines are followed, including the Prevent Strategy and to actively promote equality, diversity and inclusion.

The post holder will work in accordance with all Inspire policies and procedures, Inspire Brand guidelines,
contractual requirements, and professional best practice.

The post holder will perform any duties or tasks assigned by management required to meet service needs as appropriate to the role.

**_Education and Knowledge Required for the role_**

1. Hold or be willing to work towards a level 3 teaching qualification

2. GCSE A to C (4 to 9) or equivalent in English and maths

3. Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, including the Prevent Strategy

4. Understanding of the Education Inspection Framework

5. Awareness of Health and Safety issues and legislation in relation to learning delivery

6. Understanding of Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.

**_Skills and Experience_**

1. Experience of working with adults in the community

2. Ability to articulate a learning offer and encourage learners to enrol

3. Experience of, or ability to, understand a learner’s need and agree next steps in their learning journey

4. Ability to effectively review, monitor and offer guidance and support to adults.

**_Role Dimensions_**
- Actively promote the Service’s learning offer across Inspire Learning. No direct responsibility for staff.
