**About Directorate**

Following a recent transfer back of the services from Capita, this is an exciting time to join us. The service covers the full breadth of housing enforcement related services including borough wide Additional HMO Licensing, a dedicated Tower Block Enforcement Team, Empty Properties, and Selective Licensing commencing in 2024. We are an expanding service that encourages officers to think creatively in relation to achieving the best outcome for service users and improving the living conditions of residents in the borough.

**About the role**
- To provide a comprehensive and a robust entry point to the Private Sector Housing Team, specifically but not limited to the Housing Enforcement Team and the Tower Block Team
- To provide accurate and comprehensive technical support to enable enforcement officers to protect and improve the health, safety and welfare of every resident, worker and visitor within the Borough.
- Ensure that complex documents and notices are issued in line with the relevant legal requirements
- To be responsible for financial transactions, including raising invoices for statutory documents, ordering general office supplies, technical equipment and other goods, receipt of goods, payment for services and invoicing.
- To provide the initial follow up to all service requests, ensuring that they are risk assessed and allocated accordingly

The post holder will operate flexibly and changes in priorities may involve the post holder being employed in any area of the Private Sector Housing Team.

**About you**
- Experience of operating specialist software in particular Idox Uniform
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills and able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with a wide range of contacts and to deal with difficult or complex issues
- Ability to plan and prioritise workloads with a minimum of supervision and achieve regular and consistent outputs and performance targets
- GCSEs in maths and English.
