Head of Clinical Quality

Sheffield, United Kingdom Sheffield Health & Social Care NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We are delighted to advertise for a Head of Clinical Quality to join us in Sheffield Health and Social Care. This role has been redesigned following changes in the Quality Directorate and recognition of the significant improvement in standards of care following the previous CQC inspection of 2020/21.

It is critical however that the assurance of clinical quality is embedded into the structures and ways of working in the organisation and this role is pivotal to overseeing the clinical quality assurance programme in addition to managing regulatory enquiries and relationships with the CQC with support from the Chief Nurse.

We are looking for a registered nurse with significant clinical and leadership experience in mental health or learning disability services who understands what good looks like and is able to role model, champion and drive high standards of quality in clinical care. You will have experience of leading and facilitating change, including strategic quality improvements and will be a visible and inclusive leader with a strong service user focus and an ability to influence a wide variety of individuals, teams and services to deliver safe, effective and high-quality care, working across organisational boundaries and at a system level, in line with our clinical vision and agreed clinical models of care.

In addition, the postholder will oversee the delivery of the Infection prevention and control portfolio as well as the physical health team. You will have line management responsibilities for members of the clinical quality, IPC and physical health team and will provide clinical and professional supervision in accordance with the role to ensure that clinical quality standards are embedded in clinical practice and at a service and organisational level.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Nursing & Quality, this is a fabulous opportunity to join an organisation that is aspiring to good. As the Head of Clinical Quality, you will have the opportunity to lead, influence and input into some great programmes of work which are focused on making a difference to quality of care at SHSC, ultimately ensuring that care delivery is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led

We are passionate about providing the very best care to the people we support, and we're looking for amazing people who share this passion to join us.

What is it that makes our Trust such a special place to work? Well, it's all about the people. Our staff, service users, carers and families all come from such diverse backgrounds and all have expertise and stories to share.

It’s important that you feel supported in your role, that the people who you work with are as passionate as you are and that your health and wellbeing is taken care of

If you're interested in developing your career, you'll have access to a range of training and education opportunities, including apprenticeships, work experience and placements, as well as the chance to get involved in research.

We are all very proud of the difference we make to people's lives each and every day and if that's something that you'd like to be part of we'd love to have you with us.
