Independent Builders Merchant Group IBMG is looking to appoint a meticulous Payroll Administrator with at least 2-4 years payroll processing experience in a multi-site business to join our team in Polegate.

The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for ensuring that payroll, pensions and benefits information is up to date monthly through accurate processing & implementation of the iTrent system.

The post holder will have access to and be responsible for confidential information and documentation. They must ensure confidential or sensitive material is handled appropriately and accurately. Always ensuring GDPR compliance is maintained.

The role involves a wide range of duties not limited to:

- Checking monthly timesheets / overtime for accuracy and input into the payroll systems.
- Prepare payroll reports.
- Review and monitor the payment of sickness absence and unpaid leave.
- Support the People team in the auditing of leavers, starters, and contract changes to be applied to iTrent.
- Complete pension returns and auto-enrolment submissions as and when required.
- Collecting, verifying and processing payroll information
- Determining pay and benefit entitlements for employees
- Calculating payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings and deductions
- Assisting with payroll queries and issues, comments, and complaints in line with policy and process.
- Maintaining accurate and organized payroll records

**Required**:

- Hands on working experience in iTrent is essential.
- Previous experience working in a finance or payroll role is required.
- Able to work autonomously and flexibly.
- Good organisational skills.
- Positive enthusiastic approach with a can-do attitude.
- Well organised with strength in prioritising.
- Ability to always maintain confidentiality.
- Willing to adapt to new and changing processes as required by the business.
- High level of accuracy and good attention to detail.
- Good all-round IT and Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Customer focused.
- Desirable: experience in payroll processing in a multi-site business

**The Hours**
- 40 Hours per week: Monday to Friday - 8:30 to 17:30 with an hour unpaid lunch.
