An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic pharmacist to join the NHS Specialist Pharmacy Service (SPS) Medicines Advice leadership team. This post is based at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWH) on an interim basis (until March 2024).

The post-holder will be responsible for managing a team of individuals engaged in the core duties of SPS Medicines Advice described above. You will be responsible for supporting the SPS Medicines Advice Hub Leads to ensure operational delivery of our service against KPIs agreed with NHS England, and then identifying ways in which to achieve the strategy through staff at the two London sites. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues across the other functions within SPS. You will focus on support the Information & Resource and the RMOC Hubs within Medicines Advice.

NHS Specialist Pharmacy Service (SPS) supports the NHS to develop best practice systems of work-related to buying, making and using medicines. The service provides leadership, instructive and informative specialist input and operational support to the sourcing, supply and use of medicines across the system. In Medicines Advice, we focus on supporting medicines optimisation and patient care through our clinical enquiry answering service, written material on the website, podcasts and by supporting the NHS England Regional Medicines Optimisation Committees.

**The overall objectives for the post-holder will be to**:
1. Lead the London Medicines Information Service (NPH) to deliver high quality medicines advice resource
2. Work closely with the Professional Lead for Medicines Information (GSTT) to jointly lead transformation of Medicines Information Services across London
3. Manage the SPS MI team at LNWH
4. Manage the SPS budget at LNWH
5. Lead both the strategic development and subsequent delivery of SPS Medicines Advice Safety outputs nationally
6. Act as one of the professional leads for SPS MI and represent SPS Medicines Advice to audiences and stakeholders across the NHS
7. Contribute regionally and nationally towards discussions and development of SPS MI transformation plans
