Full-time 37 hours per week

The position is full-time Mon-Fri on shifts of 08:00am till 16:00pm and 09:00 till 17:00

Our Maintenance Team is looking for a versatile administrator to support and work as part of an operational team to ensure that the service is efficient and effective and to ensure good customer care, and front line service delivery.

**About the role**

Works planner / scheduler will provide administration and customer service work as part of a busy team in our Maintenance Office. You will be responsible for dealing with repair enquiries and processing work requests in a challenging environment from Reading Borough Council tenants and our internal customers.

You will update and maintain database records, produce documents and standard letters, process work tickets for the in-house Housing Repairs and Maintenance Service and generally provide technical administration support for all areas of the team.
- To provide a high quality and comprehensive administration, information & liaison service, meeting the needs of both internal and external customers for a variety of services.
- To progress work orders and job tickets through from receipt to job closure and

invoicing.
- To advise and resolve wherever possible, customer enquiries via the telephone and

face to face from visitors, colleagues and visiting customers outside of the office.
- To provide technical administrative support to the professional surveying team, Team

Leader and Projects Team Manager
- To ensure that the service operates at maximum effectiveness and that the

information given is accurate and to the highest quality

**About you**
- Organized and able to solve problems quickly and effectively.
- Strong administration skills, competent using MS Office
- Excellent communication skills and customer focus
- Skilled, highly motivated and keen to work in a fast moving and constantly evolving public sector
- Work on own initiative and part of a team
- Computer literate and good telephone skills
