**Please note: This is a fixed term maternity leave cover post for up to 9 months.**

An opportunity has arisen join our friendly Duns Medical Group Reception Team based in The Knoll, Duns. Reception staff are the main point of contact for Duns Medical Group and it is important that a positive, friendly image is projected to patients and visitors, both in person and via the telephone. A professional yet helpful and courteous manner is paramount to effective and efficient service delivery.

The practice is based within the busy Knoll Health Centre in Duns and serves a population of approximately 3,100 patients.

You will act as a link between clinical staff and the patients, relaying important clinical information and messages. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.

Ideally, you will have an interest in general health and wellbeing. Able to demonstrate empathy towards patients and staff and be trustworthy, reliable and flexible.

Experience working within a healthcare setting or customer service environment would be advantageous although not essential. The post includes the use of specialised IT packages for which full training will be given.

**Please note: the salary quoted is for full-time hours (37.5 hrs per week). For appointments to part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata
