Senior Student Funding Officer

We are a prestigious, specialist higher education institution with taught degree awarding powers, looking for an experienced Senior Student Funding Officer to oversee the advisory and technical aspects of student funding at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. The role holder’s duties will include delivering a high quality, higher education funding advice and information service to applicants, students and whole school community, being the main liaison with Student Finance England and US Direct Student Loans and overseeing all technical aspects in relation to the administration of student funding.
The successful applicant will need a sound knowledge and understanding of UK Higher Education funding arrangements, and ideally of international funding arrangements such as US Direct Student Loans. They will also be required to demonstrate effective communication skills in speech and writing. Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook), a high level of numeracy, and a commitment to excellent customer service are also essential, as is proficiency in student records systems (SITS).
The Senior Student Funding Role is situated within Registry, and they will work closely with the Assistant Registrar (Admissions) and the Academic Registrar in respect of funding. The Registry Office is a friendly, focused and professional administrative function that works with other departments to deliver an outstanding student experience at Guildhall School.
