The role 

Northumberland County Council, Housing Service, has an exciting opportunity for an Armed Forces Case Worker.

The purpose of this role is to provide overall direct support and advice to the Armed Forces Community and their families in Northumberland in relation to support services available and housing options.

We are looking for someone who understands the current issues facing veterans therefore you must have experience of either serving in the Armed Forces or working within that environment.

You will be an exceptional communicator with experience of networking and partnership working and possess up to date knowledge of the Armed Forces Covenant and relevant national Government documentation to ensure statutory obligations are fulfilled.

Exceptional IT skills, report writing and the ability to analyse and interpret complex data is essential to this role.

We are offering:  
- A starting salary of £27,344 - £30,151 (Band 6) 
- 25 days annual leave plus public and bank holidays (rising to 30 after 5 years of service)(pro-rata for part-time employees)
