**JOB SUMMARY**

Based in the Strategic Asset - Schools team, this role will lead on key improvements to asset management methodologies and practices, to uplift the performance of school property assets. This role is an opportunity to help make meaningful change to how we plan for and manage the school property estate to provide greater outcomes for schools across the Borough.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
By collaborating with internal teams across project planning, facilities management and delivery, the postholder will help develop innovative approaches to asset management planning and improved processes that are clear, efficient and well managed.

Guided by the Strategic Asset Manager, you will undertake key activities such as refreshing the end-to-end capital planning process, re-defining how asset data is managed and updated, and supporting with asset modelling to prepare budget scenarios. This role will also support with developing asset strategies and asset management plans, to provide a cohesive vision for our school property estate.

The role will involve working across a number of different workstreams and will require a good understanding of Asset Management principles and practices, as well as asset modelling techniques to understand budget requirements and assess funding gaps.

You may be required to undertake any other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade.

**THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE**
- Knowledge and experience of using asset management methodologies and practices
- Demonstrated experience of developing or improving strategic approaches to asset management
- Excellent interpersonal skills including influencing and collaborating
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate concisely and with clarity to a range of audiences
- Experience in developing strategies and/or process mapping
- Strong analytical skills - with the ability to analyse and report data trends
- Knowledge of financial reporting and budget preparation processes
