Recycling Operative

Swanstaff are recruiting Recycling operatives to work for our client based in Buckingham MK18. The successful recycling operative has the responsibility to deliver a high standard of customer service to the public by actively encouraging reuse and recycling as well as assisting the public with their waste disposal.

**Job Details**:

- To operate the Recycling Centre safely and efficiently
- Directing and assisting members of the public to correctly dispose waste
- Identifying and intercepting reusable items in conjunction with our charity partners
- Actively encouraging users of the sites to reuse before recycling
- Ensure that site daily inspections are undertaken and recorded and safety checks for equipment
- Ensure that all chargeable waste is identified
- Prevent any unauthorised person from sorting, disturbing, interfering or removing any waste from the Recycling Centre

**Role Requirements**:

- Recycling and or in a waste and/or waste experience desirable, but not essential
- PPE must be worn correctly at all times
- Courteous towards customers, clients and colleagues
- Good timekeeper
- Must be able to work alone or as a team.
- Sites open 7 days a week: Required to work any 5 out of 7 days
- Paid weekly
- 8am - 5pm
