We are currently looking for a **Supply Chain Buyer and Planner **to assist in the development and support of the Supply Chain offering within our **Procurement & Supply Chain **team based at our **Head Office in Totton.**

As a Supply Chain Buyer and Planner, you will assist in a busy Purchasing Department to support the administration of general planning and procurement activities and undertake routine purchasing tasks. Do regular planning against the sales run rates to ensure accurate forecasts and assist in managing special order requests to meeting the customer demands of the Ultimate Healthcare division.

**The role**:

- Monitoring sales against the forecast and planning accordingly.
- Being an active part of monitoring and highlighting changes in run rates of sales
- Purchase order creation, submission to suppliers and monitoring in line with company processes.
- Expediting and modifying delivery dates within our internal systems for overdue purchase orders. Communicate any issues to the wider team and create solutions where possible to prevent out of stocks arising.
- Obtaining supplier quotations, identifying those that offer the best price or sourcing the best value.
- Prioritising orders in line with forecast and demand requirements.
- Provide internal and external stakeholders with information, including and not limited to resolving any queries they may have with regards to orders and product enquiries
- Troubleshooting and resolving invoice and pricing discrepancies for materials and services, working collaboratively with the Accounts Payable team.
- Managing supplier returns and ensure associated supplier credits are processed.
- General Procurement office duties including day to day administration as necessary.
- Ensure all H&S standards and policies are adhered to in accordance with the Companies Values, Standards and ways of working

**About you**:

- Previous Purchasing experience within a similar role (min 1 year preferable)
- A professional qualification such as CIPS level 5 or equivalent or, a willingness to achieve would be desirable
- Knowledge of IT software like MRP, MS Office, Sharepoint, etc.
- Good organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Good problem solving skills
- Must be able to work off their own initiative as well as part of a team
- Full UK Driving licence with a willingness to travel
