Your new role

We have an excellent opportunity for a Case Manager to join our Major Projects Directorate in the Property and Compensation division. This role based at the Guildford Office though can be flexible to working from home as circumstances dictate.

What you will be leading on
- Liaise with the company’s legal and valuation suppliers to acquire land and rights that are needed to improve or maintain the Network.
- Accurately maintain the company’s property records, financial and other administrative records, using the company’s systems to comply with statutory and internal procedures, and inform effective decision making.
- Manage work to meet objectives, ensuring that the relevant law, policies and procedures are followed.
- Liaise with colleagues and customers, building effective relationships to ensure that claimants and affected land owners receive a good customer service.
- Collate and analyse relevant information to inform effective decision making
- Ability to research and interrogate Land Registry, Lands systems and where necessary Google Maps/Earth
- Be willing to attend online / physical public consultation events, being actively involved in discussions on property-related queries with the public.

To be successful:

- Have an awareness of the work within the wider Property and Compensation team and of the Major Projects schemes which are being delivered.
- Be willing to develop a good understanding of the processes and procedures that govern the land acquisition
- Have a natural instinct for detail coupled with patience and diligence
- Have an awareness of a project Lifecyle
- Functional / Technical Ability to use MS Office software products to enable production/maintenance of a range of complex documents and spreadsheets.
- Have the ability to work effectively in an office environment or remotely from home as required, to deliver an efficient customer service, and support delivery through ability to manage a supply chain.
- Have good meeting skills and discipline
- Be a good communicator - both written and verbal
- Be willing to train for a foundation qualification in Property Management
