We are a leading & long-established law firm based in the heart of the Somerset countryside, with offices in Wells, Street & Somerton.

Due to growth in the team, we are looking for an experienced Legal Cashier/Accounts Assistant to join our Accounts Department. We are a friendly team that provides all the accounts support to the firm from our beautiful office in Wells.

About you:
Role Summary:
To assist the Accounts Manager on a daily basis & take ownership of the following tasks:

- Ensure all transactions are compliant with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
- Monitor the firms client account for incoming funds. Ensuring funds are allocated accurately & in a timely manner.
- Process BACS & CHAPS payments
- Daily bank reconciliations for the client & office accounts
- Checking completion statements
- Processing client completions
- Process debit/credit card transactions over the phone/face to face
- Assist the Accounts Manager with month/year end routines
- Assist the Accounts Manager with the annual client account audit
