Doorway is a charity working with homeless young people aged 16 - 25 years. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised individual to join our team.

This is a new role with the opportunity to develop innovative fundraising initiatives and improve marketing with the aim of connecting with new audiences and deepening our relationships with existing ones. This role will help underpin our essential services which create opportunities for young people to move on positively from an unsettled housing history. This role will ensure ongoing sustainable income which will enable Doorway to provide professional, impartial, fair and outcome focused services to young people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. This will ensure services are delivered in accordance with Doorway’s Business Plan objectives.

Doorway’s Business Plan objectives are:

- To prevent youth homelessness and the exclusion that embeds it.
- To increase access to safe and secure accommodation for young homeless people to alleviate homelessness and exclusion.
- To promote a personalised approach to young people’s housing and personal development needs.
- To influence policy that affects homelessness and excluded people.

Fundraising
- To implement and manage Doorway’s Fundraising Strategy, achieving targets and developing as new opportunities arise to diverse income.
- Research, identify and lead on fundraising opportunities and events.
- Ensure compliance with the Fundraising Regulator for all activities.
- Set up systems to ensure funders outcomes are monitored correctly.
- To manage and develop Doorway’s relationship with funders and supporters in order to maximise short and long term income.
- Build relationships with donors or companies including presentations/talks as requested
- Develop new and maintain existing systems for donated items.
- Be responsible for fundraising administrative processes including events calendar and records.

Marketing & Social Media
- Align Fundraising Strategy to Marketing Strategy, using overarching Business Plan as the basis.
- Ensure branding and communication is consistent throughout the organisation, internally and externally.
- Raise awareness of our charitable activities.
- Preparing and distributing Supporters Newsletter twice a year.
- Develop social media strategy and scheduling regular social media posts, including updating our website.
- Manage information and fundraising activity of donors on a database in line with GDPR requirements.
- Increase our online presence and profile with our target audience and potential fundraisers.

Service Delivery
- Ensure the successful delivery of Doorway’s Fundraising and Marketing objectives.
- Manage Doorway’s Project Worker through regular supervision, support and appraisal.
- Work alongside our Finance Officer to manage and record gift aid claims, donations and fundraising income.
- To provide cover and support to the Finance Officer in their absence or as requested.
- Work towards Business and Operational Plan aims.
- To manage fundraising volunteers.
- To participate as necessary in fundraising sub-group meetings alongside Trustees, colleagues and volunteers.
- Maintain accurate records, monitor progress against projected outcomes and produce

reports based on these statistics as required.

Other
- Ensure safeguarding policies are followed in all areas of work.
- To share information appropriately with colleagues, partners and others involved with young people in accordance with Doorway’s GDPR policy.
- Maintain a current knowledge of fundraising guidance (Fundraising Regulator, Charity Commission) and any other relevant guidance or legislation.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships and networks with relevant organisations and key individuals.
- Place young people at the heart of the service and provide volunteer opportunities for them.
- Any other duties as and when appropriate.

**Salary**: £30,296.00 per year
