Our client is a leading OEM specialising in food packaging machinery and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Sales Manager.

This is a home based role covering the Northern UK territory.

**The Role**:
Reporting to the Sales Director you will be responsible for delivering effective sales business development activities to promote machinery sales throughout the UK.

Duties will include but is not limited to the following;
- Develop and follow-up sales enquires and undertake client visits
- Sales and business development activities including prospecting, sales calls and marketing work as required
- Liaise with external client and internal technical teams to establish and specify machinery suitable for customer requirements
- Attend product / trade exhibitions & events
- Provide regular sales activity reports to directors

Applicants will be accomplished in sales and ideally you will have sufficient technical or engineering knowledge required to engage professionally with existing and new potential clients.

You will display all the interpersonal qualities associated with a successful sales professional.
You must be prepared to undertake extensive travel throughout the UK and Europe.

**Hours of Work**:
Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
