We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA).

**The Opportunity**:
Maintaining intracellular homeostasis is a hallmark of life, and being unicellular, bacteria have to maintain several important homeostasis at once. Using mathematical modelling, you will be working on predicting the consequences of the proton motive force and pH homeostasis coupling, on either of these two important variables. You are required to be familiar with bacterial electrophysiology and able to work with experimentalists to turn your predictions into testable experiments. Familiarity with experimental protocols for measuring electrophysiology at the single cell level is thus also required.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- Expertise in mathematical modelling of biological systems
- Expertise in bacterial electrophysiology
- Capable of working independently, but in synergy with the rest of the interdisciplinary team Find an interdisciplinary environment both challenging and motivating
