**Position Summary**

Seeking Assistant Compliance Officer and Assistant Company Secretary to join small, busy, and friendly European corporate legal & compliance team which services Assured Guaranty’s regulated platforms in London, Paris and Madrid.

Role involves providing compliance, governance and legal support principally to (i) Assured Guaranty UK Limited, an insurer authorised by the PRA and regulated by the PRA and FCA (AGUK) and (ii) Assured Guaranty (Europe) SA, the Group’s French insurance company authorised by ACPR (AGE).

Role to report to Chief European Corporate Counsel and will also liaise very closely with AGE Chief Compliance Officer and AGUK Compliance Officer & Assistant Company Secretary.

**Primary Responsibilities**

Role is broad ranging and involves:

- Legal research covering broad range of topics affecting Assured Guaranty including regulation, data privacy, employment and corporate matters
- Helping to arrange Board and Committee meetings including coordinating, organizing and contributing to meeting papers, uploading them onto Diligent and taking accurate minutes
- Assistance with AGUK and AGE compliance plans and work relating to their respective compliance manuals, training and onboarding processes
- Assisting with different aspects of Assured Guaranty’s governance structure including organization of policies and procedures and other governance documents
- Checking simple contracts and assisting with vendor management approval process
- Filings including Companies House and UK ICO
- Drafting resolutions, incumbency certificates, other corporate documents, and simple legal documents
- Interaction with other members of Assured Guaranty including Legal & Compliance, Risk and HR

**Required Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)**

- Spanish language skills

**Essential**
- At least 5 years’ experience legal/compliance/governance experience including minute-taking, research and contract review
- Financial services background

**Preferred**
- PRA/FCA and/or ACPR experience
