Our client is a multi-disciplined Health & Safety consultancy based in Essex with operations reaching nationally. They specialise in the construction, built environment and property development sector and pride themselves on client management and how theycreate long-lasting relationships through second to none service delivery and their 'connected’ ethos.

**Health & Safety Advisor**

**£28-32k Basic Salary DOE** | Mon-Fri 9-5 | Flexible Hours | Office-based | Includes working from home | Birch, Colchester | Pension | Laptop & Phone Provided | Opportunity for Bonus’ | Growing, exciting, dynamic start-up health & safety consultancy| Service-driven, quality-focussed |

This proactive role will include providing support, advice and guidance on site to ensure a safe working environment. You will be responsible for implementing safe systems and procedures, carrying out audits and a high volume of site inspections.

**Duties (to include but are not limited too)**:

- To provide their diverse client base on all H&S related topics and work closely to assist on their legal obligations.
- The role involves travel to client sites/facilities and provide pragmatic, approachable and excellent service.
- Provide clients with administrative support where required such as risk assessments, method statements/safe systems of work, accident investigations, support with pre-qualification questionnaires, accreditation coordination and support and other ad hocadministrative tasks.

**Person Specification**:

- An approachable and reasonable approach to H&S.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Health & Safety Advisor.
- A member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH - Tech/Grad and CMIOSH or working toward) (D)
- Competence in incident and accident investigation (D)
- Risk assessment and method statement creation (D)
- Ability to support clients with PQQ’s and tenders (D)
- Strong understanding and up to date knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation, guidance and best practice (D)
- Valid UK driving license (D)
- Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with various members of the team (D)
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills (D)
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written (D)
- Ability to prepare formal written reports and publications (D)
