My client, a rapidly expanding manufacturing business based in Newquay is looking to recruit the following on an immediate basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to either learn or expand into a new role.

The role will involve full on the job training along with a great team to work alongside

**Process Assistant**

Night shift, Monday - Friday. Starting rate £13.54, to be raised to £14.87 once trained.

**Responsibilities of the role**:

- Mixing and testing all products from information provided without direct supervision, following all relevant quality procedures and adhering to all Health and Safety Requirements and procedures.
- Assisting and meeting production targets around Health, Safety and Environmental, Quality, Productivity and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for assisting in maintaining the efficiency of the mixing area, personal HSE and awareness of the Health and Safety of other team members on the mixing platform, the quality of the product manufactured and to participate in project teams.
- Ensure adherence to standard work at all times and bring together suggestions for improvement.
- Asist in the escalation process for problems and concerns.
- Helping to operate all necessary tools, equipment and machinery required for mixing correctly and with special care and attention following any necessary health and safety procedures in accordance with standard operating sheets.
- Cleaning mixing vessels and pipe-work within the specified standard time, using the correct solvents in accordance with standard operating sheets.
- Completing relevant documents to support all quality and safety routines and activities.

**Maintenance Setter**

Day shift, Monday - Friday. Starting rate £15.38 per hour.

**Responsibilities of the role**:

- Be able to operate, set, and maintain all filling lines to the required standard of output and efficiency, also to undertake other duties/work patterns deemed necessary by the Holt Lloyd Management team
- Be able to resolve basic mechanical problems, also replacing of worn parts in conjunction with information contained in the machine manufacturer’s manuals
- Effectively communicate with the Production Supervisor and Line Leader on a daily basis and make suggestions on issues relating to HSE, quality and productivity
- Ensure adherence to standard work at all times and bring together suggestions for improvement.
- Help establish and share best-in-class manufacturing processes.
- Ensure that 5s activities are maintained at the appropriate standard for the production area.
- Take responsibility for personal safety and that of the other team members working in the department and to practice a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness at and around their designated area of work.
- To contribute to cost down targets by looking for opportunities to improve standard of work activities and line processes.
- Assist in driving continuous improvement, including the reduction of waste production
- Actively participate in the production issue escalation process so as to ensure corrective actions are completed in a timely fashion.
- Take responsibility to ensure the line is in a safe working order and report any issues relating to quality or safety that cannot be rectified immediately, also to ensure that any relevant documentation is completed and maintained up-to-date.
