Picker Operator

We are currently seeking to recruit a Picker Operator to support an established car accessory company based Near Newquay.

What we offer:

- £11.38 an hour
- Weekly pay
- Temp ongoing, immediate start
- Accrue Holiday pay.
- 16:15pm -12:15am Monday to Friday No weekends

**Requirements**:

- Due to being on the outskirts of Newquay near the airport, driving license is essential.
- Must be hard working and good at keeping to deadlines and Must have a good knowledge of key health and safety aspects.
- Must be a good communicator and work well in a team and flexible to cover other areas
- Accuracy essential - paperwork and location picking, QC and completed customer orders.

The Role:

- You will be required to comply with all work instructions and procedures, whether they are company or legal, with a special regard to all Health and Safety aspects on a daily basis.
- Safety boots required
- Liaising with and following the operational/admin supervisors on business priorities and daily tasks.
- Correctly completing the paperwork, labels to be filled out accurately, labelling pallets and boxes properly and ensuring the pallet presentation is in line with customer requirements as defined by the picking process and be required to complete quality control checking of orders waiting to be dispatched.
- Maintaining the general standards of cleanliness and tidiness throughout the Distribution Centre.
- Be able to carry out all aspects of waste control/ management in accordance with legislation and company procedures.
- Ensure good working relations with all areas of the DC, contribute to the DC’s overall efficiency in operations, practice and cost management.
- To be flexible and able to cover all DC duties for absence/business volume uplift as required and be available for overtime as required.
- Check your pallet/pump truck/MHE equipment thoroughly and complete the daily check sheets. Report any problems or faults to the operational shift supervisor immediately and Sanitize and clean down your pallet/pump truck and MHE you have used thoroughly at the beginning and end of your shift.
