**About the role and service**
We are currently seeking a Supervisor to work in our VILD outreach service in Springfield/Bishopbriggs offering a fixed term 1 year contract covering maternity leave. This is a full time position which will include working evenings and weekends on a rotational basis.
Within our outreach service we support adults, who have leaving disability, complex needs and vision/sensory challenges. Playing a key role as supervisor you will be providing best practice support to the team, monitoring and supervising staff and offering help where and when required to ensure the service runs smoothly day to day as the support practitioners enable the people we support to live as full independent lives as possible.
We assist people and their families to design, develop and implement and review person centred care plans to allow people to have maximised opportunities and choices given to them and control over their own lives, therefore being able to build long lasting relations and hold great communication skills is key.
As supervisor you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be required to support in other areas of the service as and when the need arises
**This role could be for you if**:
- You have excellent communication skills to relay complex and challenging information
- You hold an SVQ Level 3 in Social Care (or other specialty recognised by the SSSC for registration purposes and must be able to meet and maintain the appropriate SSSC registration requirements and conditions for a Supervisor in a Care at Home / Housing Support Service.
- Good team-working skills and a positive outlook
- Able to communicate effectively and use your own initiative
- A strong work ethic and organised to support set routines
- Patient and understand
