Communications Assistant

**Employment Type**: Full-Time (37 hours per week)

What is the role?

What will you be doing here?
- Support the creation, proofreading and editing of any collateral produced making sure branding, tone of voice and photography is in line with brand standards.
- Manage the internal communication channels, ensuring they’re up to date and relevant, always looking for opportunities to engage where possible.
- Ensure events at Abri are managed well, supporting in the planning and logistics of these and supporting the team to help organise video production.
- Process purchase orders for any corporate communications spend using IT systems.
- Maintain a database of metrics / feedback for internal and customer communications, supporting our insight-led approach to communications.
- Carry out any additional duties commensurate to the role.

Skills and experience
- Experience of working in a busy environment with the ability to work as part of a team and with the flexibility to cope with changes to work plans at short notice.
- A great communicator with effective interpersonal skills, including teamwork and networking, whilst building trusted relationships.
- Experience of delivering high quality customer service.
- Excellent, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Full driving licence and access to own transport, or ability to travel in a timely and efficient manner to attend meetings in other offices that may not easily accessed by public transport.
- Be able to demonstrate actively embracing a positive culture.
- Desirable: Experience of writing high quality written material for internal reports and for communicating with a range of audiences.
- Desirable: Experience of using online digital platforms, such as Sharepoint and Dot Digital.
- Desirable: The ability to demonstrate a track record of building trusted relationships with all stakeholders internal and external.

- Experience in a communications or customer service role (desirable)

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

**Salary**: £26,412.00 per year
