**Job Description Summary**

We have an opportunity for an experienced Business Development specialist to join the Advanced Composites team. The role will be fundamental in the building and maintaining of customer relationships and identifying areas of commercial opportunities. Thepurpose of the role is to develop future business opportunities for The Client's Advanced Composites that are aligned to the organisation’s strategy and capabilities.

**Business Development Executive**

**Your responsibilities in this role**:

- _The development and implementation of business development plans._
- _Delivering against set targets_
- _Keeping up to date with industry news and activities and promoting The Client Advanced Composites capabilities and feeding back requirements of potential customers_
- _Development and management of strategically important relationships with stakeholders_

**Responsibilities**:

- Introducing The Client's Advanced Composites and its capability to new potential customers
- Use industry network and wider insights to identify and pursue opportunities that are aligned to the Composites business’ strategy, capabilities and order intake KPI’s.
- Develop and maintain a strategic account plan, developing contacts and maintaining key communications with senior customers/stakeholders which support short term and long-term business development targets

**Tasks**:

- Develop and maintain plans, data and records including pipeline data, stakeholder maps, campaign plans
- Lead the internal team to develop attractive solutions that meet customer requirements and place The Client's Advanced Composites in the strongest position to win new contracts.
- Create written material to support solution development for internal and external audiences including businesses cases and bids.
- To develop and lead a marketing plan which complements and enhances customer strategic accounts
- Represent the company at external industry events
- Take a leading role in the negotiation of contracts to secure the best outcome for the company.
- Desirable - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of education.(Ideally within Engineering Discipline)
- Previous experience in defence, aerospace or (composite manufacturing industry-ideal).
- Previous experience in selling solutions and the design of new products
- Significant experience in a business development / sales or account management role.
- Experienced in securing in high value / complex contracts

- Able to rapidly build basic technical knowledge of composite manufacturing techniques and capabilities, drawing on experience of others where necessary.
- Commercial acumen - strong ability to conceptualise a viable business case.
- Support and/or prepare customer RFP’s & RFQ’s.
- Communications - strong all-round communicator encompassing video conferencing, verbal and written formats. Includes ability to write documents/proposals, deliver presentations.
