**About Aberlour Routes Falkirk**:
Routes is an evidence-based youth work programme which supports young people aged 12-26 years affected by alcohol or drug use within their family. Routes offers a mix of one-to-one and group support, along with a busy programme of activities and events bringing young people together. There is no time limit to their involvement, allowing trust to develop with workers and other young people, and all support is individually tailored to each young person.

The Routes model engages young people to effect change in their lives, recognising that living with chaos and trauma in your family does not need to lead to poor outcomes. With the right support, young people can take a very different path, and have a positive future.

**What we are looking for....**:
The role of the Lead Practitioner is to play a lead role in mentoring and supporting staff and being a role model, delivering excellence in the services we provide. You will work in partnership with the national Routes Development programme and young people to co-produce a programme of support to improve the well-being and opportunities of young people impacted by family drug and alcohol use.

This role involves being able to demonstrate knowledge of child development, family dynamics and how adult behaviour and lifestyle impacts upon the parenting role. The post holder will also have an understanding of how interventions are expected to benefit young people as well as having an understanding of, and commitment to young people’s rights.

You will work within a variety of locations in the Falkirk area, including family homes, schools and community settings.

At Aberlour we want to make sure every child and young person has the love, support and opportunity they need to reach their potential. If you share the same vision, we want you to join our team..

**What we offer... **:
As well as a supportive team and excellent training opportunities, we want all our employees to feel valued and rewarded for the vital work they do. When you work with us, we'll recognise your efforts with generous annual leave, an excellent employer pension scheme and a range of deals and discounts across various retailers..

For an informal chat please call Service Manager, Mary Page on 07341792443

Aberlour is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all our service users and uses a thorough and rigorous recruitment and selection process including PVG Scheme checks to ensure this commitment is not compromised.
