About this job:
The Global Head of Real Estate & Workplace Experience (RE&WE) is a newly created position and a great opportunity for an experienced leader to shape the future footprint and workplace experience across our global regions.

You will be responsible for transformation and change, creating the vision, strategy, and environment to complement ways of working and the future shape of organisation, aligned with our corporate strategic goals.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President - Head of Procurement, you will manage a team of 6 direct reports and approximately 15 indirect reports

You will be an experienced, resilient influencer engaging with senior leaders across the globe to understand the needs/current landscape of our space, suppliers, facilities, and optimum operating model to establish a vision for our future state

Key activities are noted below:

- Establish a Global Centre of Excellence (CoE) and develop the centralized RE&WE strategy aligned with Astellas corporate objectives and regional business needs
- Lead the engagement with Executive Committee members and SVP stakeholders to understand global strategies/initiatives and share progress
- Develop/implement global real estate, workplace experience, facilities management, and major project standards that drive consistency across the portfolio
- Lead on contract management and supplier performance management across the regions to drive high standards, customer satisfaction, and value
- Be accountable for implementing effective and safe workplace quality, health and safety, business continuity, and environmental performance plans. Ensure standards are aligned to corporate sustainability goals and that an efficient workspace is established with employee experience at the heart of workplace decisions

Essential Knowledge & Experience
- Solid knowledge and experience of Real Estate, Workplace experience, and Facilities Management from within a global, matrix organisation, preferably Pharma or another corporate sector
- Able to demonstrate experience in managing and successfully delivering large, transformational change projects, driving value, and achieving efficiencies at a global level
- Strong leadership capability and the ability to influence executive leaders across different cultures and regions.
- Future thinking to shape strategy and vision in a changing environment
- Able to deliver best practice in the areas of supplier management, performance, and efficiency
- Fluent in verbal and written business English with strong presentation skills

Education/Qualifications:

- Undergraduate or advanced degree or equivalent
