**Autism Learning Support Assistant - Secondary SEN School - Kensington & Chelsea**

We are in search of enthusiastic, passionate, and adaptable SEN Learning Support Assistant to become part of a close-knit and welcoming team.

The school is an independent special school for neurodivergent students, primarily diagnosed with Autism. The pupils require personalised support in areas such as communication, interaction, anxiety management, functional skills and other specific needs associated with their diagnosis. Many pupils also present co-occurring diagnoses such as ADHD and/or dyslexia.

In this role as an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will assist teachers in classroom activities and help students with their academic, social, and emotional development. You will be dedicated to offering the best outcomes and opportunities to our group of learners, who can be both rewarding and occasionally challenging, with the ultimate goal of ensuring every child reaches their maximum potential.

**Job Description - SEN Learning Support Assistant**
- Secondary SEN Learning Support Assistant
- Working in a SEN school with students diagnosed with Autism
- Working as a main class assistant and on a 1:1 / small group basis
- Creating tailored learning experiences for each pupil according to their individual needs
- Pastoral care
- Providing educational, emotional, social and physical support to help each pupil develop and reach their maximum potential
- Adaptable and personalised approach to learning with an understanding of the importance of structure
- Contribute to a supportive, engaging environment where each day presents fresh challenges and rewards
- £85 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
- Located in Kensington & Chelsea

**Person Specification - SEN Learning Support Assistant**
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Professional or personal understanding of Autism
- Resilient and adaptable
- Good academic background
- Ability to differentiate approach based on individual needs
- Enthusiastic and passionate about making a positive impact on pupils with Autism
- Caring and compassionate nature
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organisation, understanding the importance of structure
