**What you will do**

In this role, you will be responsible for the design of Building Intercom and Door Entry Systems, Electronic Access Control Systems, and Video Surveillance Systems. Your primary responsibility will be to develop System Design Schedules including technical submittals, ‘for construction issue’ drawings and schematics, control equipment cabinet and programming configurations.

**How you will do it**

By reviewing project specifications, employer’s requirements, security risk assessments, survey reports, tender documents and. By creating designs, drawings, parts breakdowns, and specifications for use in the delivery phases procurement, installation, and commissioning. By ensuring that we continue to offer our clients compliant solutions. You will be supported in this role by the design manager, R & D manager and our Head of Technical.

**What we look for**

An individual who embodies the following skills, knowledge, experience, qualifications, and attitude:

- Design Expertise:

- Experience in designing integrated security systems
- Building Intercom and door Entry Systems
- Electronic Access Control Systems and components
- Video Surveillance Systems and peripheral components
- Ethernet Local and Wide Area Networks and Fibre Optic transmission
- Police Secured by Design specification, and CPTED principles.
- Understanding of regulations:

- Regulations, Standards, and codes of practice associated with the Security Industry
- Regulations applicable to electrical installations
- Building Safety Regulations
- Construction Design and Management regulations
- Project Implementation:

- Procurement,
- Project Management,
- Installation, Commissioning, and Handover processes
- RIBA stages and the security overlay
- Qualifications:

- Essential - BTEC level 4 in a security related discipline, or
- NVQ Level 3 in a security related discipline
- Preferable - BTEC level 5 security system design and planning
- Attitude & Behaviour:

- Trustworthy, honest and have integrity
- A clear, methodical, and thorough approach

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
