An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and driven Research Assistant to join our dynamic team within the Department of International Public Health. Our team is committed to addressing critical issues in international public health, with a strong focus on gender equity and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). We are a leading institution committed to addressing global health challenges through innovative research and policy development, with the aim to produce actionable insights that inform policy and improve health outcomes worldwide.

**The Role**

**Key deliverables will include (but not be limited to)**:

- Support the design and implementation of research elements as part of a team and with the support of the Gender Equity Lead, Post Doctoral Research Assistant and Principal Investigator.
- Contribute towards building a community of practice for gender and AMR
- Assist the production of reports, papers and other documentation to communicate research findings to a wider audience, in collaboration with GEAR UP partner institutions

**Ideally you will be able to demonstrate**:

- MSc in e.g. public health, development studies, gender studies, microbiology, sociology, anthropology, human geography,
- Understanding of health issues, services and systems in Low and Middle-Income countries (LMICs)
- Understanding of social determinants of health, and theories of intersectional inequity including gender, class, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation etc.
- Training in qualitative research methods, including study design, data collection, analysis and reporting
- Training or experience in conducting gender or intersectional analyses
- Experience of working with research partners in LMICs, particularly within a multi-country research consortium model
- Experience of planning and designing research projects in LMICs, including research ethics submissions
