Are you at the early stages of your legal career and looking to gain experience in a global organisation?
- SHL is currently seeking a Legal Intern to join our European Legal function situated in Thames Ditton, Surrey. This is a part-time, paid position offering 15 hours per week. Reporting to the Senior Corporate Counsel, the role will focus on assisting the Legal team members and SHL’s internal commercial clients.

- **What you will be doing**:

- Maintaining SHL portals, used globally to triage and manage all requests for legal assistance.
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating NDAs, drafting replies to RFPs and updating commercial legal templates maintained by the legal department.
- Providing legal assistance to business units across multiple jurisdictions and time-zones.
- Tracking, summarising and storing of signed MSAs, Data Protection Agreements and EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Assisting litigation matters as required by SHL lawyers, including IP infringement.
- Assisting senior lawyers with ad-hoc operational and other projects.

**What we need from you**:
Essential:

- Degree (or equivalent), ideally in law, computer science, psychology or business-related field. 3rd year Degree students considered.
- Current SQE / LPC students, and Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) conversion, where appropriate.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of company and commercial law and practices.
- Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and planning and organisational skills.
- Basic contract knowledge and experience with ordering documents, NDA or other standard commercial legal work.

- Fluency in additional languages across EMEA strong plus
