**Pay**:£21,500 - £23,000
**Location**: Office in Llangefni, Anglesey
**Hours**:Average40 hours (including some weekends)
6 months fixed contract with view to extend to full time permanent.
**General Role**
As an Events Assistant you will be an essential member of the team, working across both the Marketing and Event Management teams to ensure everything is in place to fulfil our aims to make our events the best possible experience for participants, local communities and other stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a renowned sports event company and begin your career in the industry. There will be lots of chances to learn, and as you progress and gain experience you may have opportunities including taking the lead on planning for some of our events, assisting with race day management and involvement in key marketing jobs and campaigns.
You will be required to work on all event weekends, unless previously agreed with your line manager. You will report to the Head of Event Management.
**Specific Role**
- You will be responsible for the booking and management of external organisations who support our events and provide services; gaining quotes, placing orders and overseeing delivery.
- Manage our warehouse and the maintenance of our equipment including vehicles.
- Assist with the recruitment, retention, rewards and ensuring the health and safety of volunteers and marshals.
- Ensure paperwork and inventories are accurate and up to date.
- Ordering and organising prizes, food and merchandise for our events.
- Booking and managing vendors and partners to attend our Event Village
- Act as a central member of staff on event weekends with tasks including driving, course marking, building infrastructure, van packing and co-ordinating freelance staff and volunteers
- Attend both Event Management and Marketing team meetings and actively contribute to meeting and discussions to generate ideas that will contribute to positive change.

- Experience with social media
- Ability to work flexibly including long hours on event weekends
- Full valid driving licence.
- Under the age of 35
- Living in the ARFOR area (Anglesey, Gwynedd, Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire) or originally from the ARFOR area and intend/want to move back
- Can speak Welsh or are able to demonstrate a clear commitment to learning and using the language
