Nineteen Recruitment is delighted to working with a local client, recruiting on their behalf for a SEN Officer, a role that is based in the South Tyneside area.

This is a temporary role that commands a standard hourly rate of £22.55 per hour.

**Job description**

As a SEN officer you will be you will facilitate planning meetings for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and disabilities, across the 0 - 25-year-old age range. You will be leading the assessment and planning process for families across schools and a range of service providers, including education, health, social care, and voluntary sectors.

You will be working with children, young people, and their parents, ensuring they are involved in the process and kept informed. You will determine the appropriate provision to meet the individual’s SEN, alongside parents/young people and professionals. You will ensure effective and timely delivery of the EHC needs assessment process and EHC plans, as well as ensure compliance with the timescales for transition reviews for children and young people with EHC plans are completed promptly.
- Experience of creating and reviewing EHC/care plans
- Teaching/Education degree or equivalent
- GCSEs graded C or above in English and Mathematics
