As the Force continues to modernise in order that we meet our policing challenges, the Criminal Justice Branch is committed to supporting front line policing and driving the delivery of change and improvement that will create both efficiency and a better service to victims and the community.
This is an exciting opportunity to become an Out of Court Disposal (OoCD) Officer, a newly created role within GMP to oversee the delivery of Conditional Cautions and Community Resolutions across the force. The role will provide a better service to victims and the community, by helping to address offender triggers and providing offenders with appropriate rehabilitative, reparative or punitive conditions.
The OoCD Officer will support Crime Progression Teams to identify appropriate offences suitable for an Out of Court Disposal at the earliest opportunity. They will monitor offences that are suitable, throughout the investigation process, providing advice to officers as required. The OoCD Officer will manage the delivery of Conditional Cautions and Community Resolutions, ensuring the victim is consulted and the offenders needs are assessed and appropriate interventions put in place to reduce the likelihood of future offending, which includes promoting the Restorative Justice process.
The main areas of work within the Out of Court Disposals (OoCD) arena are:

- Supporting front line policing to reduce where appropriate the number of resource intensive investigations and prosecution files.
- Ensuring victims are at the heart of the process
- Supporting vulnerable offenders to address their offending triggers
- Putting rehabilitation at the forefront of offender outcomes

The OoCD officer will also provide advice, guidance and support for officers on the administration process required for an effective OoCD.
