**More about your role**

As our Apprentice Facilities & Maintenance assistant, you'll develop the skills knowledge and behaviours to start your career in maintenance with opportunities to see career progression into a variety of different avenues dependent on where your passion lies upon completion of the programme. You'll study a Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative qualification and access a bespoke learning and development programme.

Day to day you will complete tasks to support the scheme and its residents. This will include carrying out maintenance work on properties that come available from short term rental to ensure they are in the best position they can be for the next resident. As you develop in experience your role will become more challenging and varied. With more autonomy to take on tasks.

You'll benefit from support from the wider team, who have a proven record of developing graduates and apprenticeships with the chance to shadow qualified members of staff.

**More about you**

This is the ideal role for someone wanting to take their first step into a career in maintenance/ trades. You'll benefit from support from across Places for People including your team and the Early Careers People Team.

No previous experience is required, as you'll receive the qualifications and training you need to succeed. You might have a passion for DIY or may even consider yourself a dab hand around the house when it comes to fixing things up. All we ask is that you are hard working and motivated to help us build a safe environment for our residents.

You should also be able to motivate yourself and take constructive feedback well. A clear commitment to learning and self improvement is essential to success in this role.
