Caretaker

**Caretaker (Temporary position 6 months) may be extended.**

**Responsible to **Nicola Davey

**Hours**:6 hours per week plus holiday cover on agreement: Tuesday pm Thursday pm Friday Pm Plus two weekends a month to meet business needs. When working weekend two days off in week. Subject to negation.

**Location**: Greenstead Community Centre

**Wages**:National Minimum wage

**Purpose of the post**:
Provide centre hirers with a friendly, clean, well-maintained centre and secure the building.

Responsible for the cleaning in and around the building, basic health & safety checks and maintain services. Training well be proved. Must be reliable.

Duties will be included:

- Key holding duties, including opening, and closing of the centre, included evening, weekend and bank holiday.
- Carry out a programme of regular and thorough cleaning inside and around the centre, as discussed and agreed by centre manager.
- Security of site which included being a named emergency contact & holding emergency phone.
- Preparation of rooms for hall hires, including setting up /putting down and cleaning up of all equipment.
- Liaise with hall hires, trades people and monitor services providers.
- Undertake Health and Safety checks of the premises in line with the Association Risk

Assessment. Discuss and agree any appropriate action with Centre Manager
- Identify and report, faults, or breakages to the centre manager.
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance provided it is within the Association Health and

Safety Guidelines and does not require specialist qualification.
- Any other duties that be required for role.

Part-time hours: 6 per week

**Salary**: £9.50-£10.42 per hour
