**Role**:Production Coordinator (39 hours per week, early finish Fridays)

**Company**:Machinery Manufacturer, specialising in the Food sector

**Location**:Nelson, Lancashire

**Salary**:£30k - £38k neg depending on experience

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinates activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements
- Responsible for the production and procurement of components
- Communicates with all relevant employees to ensure delivery times are met
- Plans, schedules, and reviews workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis
- Ensures the manufacturing team has enough time to manufacture and deliver products based on the clients' request
- Creates a detailed schedule based on strict deadlines
- Communicates any changes in the order or delivery date to relevant parties
- Monitors manufacturing standards
- Makes sure the working environment maintains access to quality equipment
- Purchases materials and services required for manufacturing
- Analyses process workflow, employee and space requirements and equipment layout; implement changes
- Identifying opportunities to streamline or improve all business operational processes
- Works in close liaison with all other departments to ensure the most efficient results for each project
- Ensures components are procured in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Manages the manufacturing process
- Completes site visits and identifies suitable LED replacement units
- Responsible for managing the commercial aspect of each project.

**Skills & Experience required**:

- HNC/HND in Engineering or degree in relevant field (desirable but not essential)
- Previous experience of managing a number of staff (preferred)
- Prior knowledge/experience of purchasing would be an advantage
- Clear, concise communication skills - essential
- Ability to take and pass on clear, accurate messages - essential
- Smart, professional "can-do" attitude at work - essential
- Significant knowledge and technical understanding of LED lighting - essential
- Full driving licence
